do you remember the story of lindsay and kyle... my best bud from college and my little sister to whom he will marry somewhere along the coast next summer. well it was time for their engagement photos and i absolutely couldn't wait to get out and start shooting. it took us a little bit to settle on a location when greensleeves farm came to mind. kyle is the Chef de Cuisine at Bouquet (a small, beautifully romantic farm-table restaurant in covington, ky). kyle is always going on and on about how wonderful this local family owned farm has been to them at the restaurant and how we should all take the kids to visit. lindsay herself has always been in the dirt, growing small seeds with their daughter Lucy and now spending most of her time with the family in covington's community garden. So we thought, this would be the perfect place. i had such a fun time photographing these two. they were mostly serious (which if you know kyle, is incredibly tough) and their pictures turned out beautiful and honest. it was my first time to greensleeves farm so i wasn't sure what to expect but boy was it beautiful there! it was as if everything was waiting for us, familiar faces, abundant crops, magnificent lighting and as you can see..killer skies.

Bouquet has been working with greensleeves farm for over 5 years. they grow some of the best produce throughout the year and provide bouquet with the opportunity to have an ever changing/evolving menu that represents their style and philosophy concerning food.

it's here. time with my family, time in the sun, time in a kayak and time to get moving on planning this september wedding! our summer workshop ended last week and i finally have a clear head and the control to get. shit. done. we spent last sunday on the farm with family and i couldn't have asked for a better day. with the exception of a busted nose from an intense (short) game of volleyball, our time couldn't have been sweeter. the farm has been a part of aaron's family for years and it will be there that we read our vows and promise each other a life together. With plenty of things to do and all the help of our family i am really starting to feel like we are going to pull off something great! the idea of everyone together enjoying that land and celebrating family and love is really getting us excited. while the kids run around the barn, splash in puddles, talk with the goats and bird watch we are going to work hard to get everything ready for our perfectly small wedding. hello summer.
